As emphasized during the inauguration, AFCON 2027 is more than a football tournament. It is:

  • A symbol of regional integration under PAMOJA.

  • A catalyst for infrastructure transformation.

  • A platform for national branding.

  • A vehicle for youth development and job creation.

  • A statement of Uganda’s recovery, resilience, and readiness on the continental stage.

Looking Ahead

With infrastructure progressing, inter-government coordination in place, and lessons learned from CHAN 2024 successfully internalised, Uganda is firmly on course to co-host one of the most memorable AFCON tournaments in history.

PAMOJA 2027 is not just about football —
It is about legacy, unity, and a new chapter in East African sport.
