The Uganda Local Organising Committee (LOC) has confirmed that tickets for the highly anticipated CHAN 2024 quarterfinal between Uganda and Senegal have sold out.

According to Dr. Dennis K. Mugimba, the LOC Chairperson of the Communications and Signage Subcommittee, as of 2:55 pm on Thursday, 21st August 2025, all CAF online tickets for the Saturday, 23rd August 2025 showdown at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, were fully purchased.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Saturday, 23rd August 2025 at 5:00 pm at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Dr. Mugimba cautioned fans against resorting to unauthorized sources, warning that any tickets obtained outside the CAF official platforms are likely fake or duplicates, which would be at the buyer’s own risk.

“If you buy tickets from anywhere else, you are either buying fake or duplicate tickets at your own risk,” he cautioned, urging fans to remain vigilant and to use only official CAF ticketing platforms for future purchases.

Meanwhile, the Senegal national team touched down in Uganda earlier late last night (Wednesday, 20th August, 2025) to a warm reception, signaling the start of their preparations for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. Both teams are in high spirits, with Uganda Cranes banking on home support and Senegal determined to stamp their authority as continental heavyweights.

The atmosphere in Kampala and beyond continues to build, with fans eagerly awaiting Saturday’s showdown. The sold-out status of the game is a testament to the passion of Ugandan football fans and the significance of this fixture in the CHAN 2024 journey.

As the countdown to kickoff continues, all eyes will be on Namboole for what is expected to be one of the most electrifying matches of the tournament so far.
